Most sending/transferring files programs ask you to provide the email or phone number of the receiver, but with Send Anywhere, you don’t have to, and that is the strongest point of this program.Īnother good thing is that you can upload or receive as many files as you want, and there is no paid or pro version, so everyone gets the same service. So, if you want to try the app without registering, you simply have to go to the official site and upload the files you want to send. There is one important point which you have to underline about Send Anywhere, which is the 6 digits code system. You can actually send any files easily to others in really simple steps. And after trying it myself, I guess it is not an exaggerated statement. Send Anywhere takes an easy, quick, and unlimited approach to file sharing. To get a better idea, do take a look at our full review on WeTransfer. WeTransfer is also ‘kind’ on your phone because the size of the app is small, and it doesn’t even take much RAM when you are using it. It is available for Android, as well as iOS phones. The file limitation? Unlimited!Īs for the receiver, they will get an email notification which will direct them to the main site to get the file. Read our review on sending large files with MASV. ![]() Well, that’s quite expensive especially if you’re sending your file to multiple receivers. So, for example, if you upload a 100GB file, it will cost you $25 every time the file is downloaded. ![]() However, unlike other file transfer services, this cost is not for uploading files, but payable when someone downloads them. The app doesn’t bind you with monthly or annual licensing and follows a ‘pay as you go’ pricing model with $0.25/GB which seems like a very reasonable cost. MASV is, however, not very generous when it comes to pricing. The other aspect that I really liked about the service is that it allows you to create portals where you can drop files and the receiver will be notified to download eliminating the need of adding email addresses of the receivers. The platform offers a minimalistic and straightforward interface with easy navigation that anyone can use with out needing instructions. User-friendliness is one of the main features of MASV. You can send any number of files with unlimited file size with an unmatchable speed. The platform markets itself for videographers and video editors, however, anyone who wants a reliable service to transfer big files will find its features to be quite enticing. MASV is a platform to transfer bulky files easily and with in minutes. ![]()

![]() If a business isn’t hitting its target Profit ($) or Margin (%) it’s very hard to cut operating expenses to make up the difference. COGS & MarginĪ higher cost of goods sold will mean a lower margin. Are we working too slow? Are we underbidding jobs? Are crews milking the clock? Is overtime (time and half) the culprit? Once a business determines why this line item is running over budget, they can make changes to increase profitabilty. Let’s say that labor is constantly over target for a business. For example, analysis of the individual COGS line items against planned budget should be evaluated to understand which are at, above or below target. Gross Profit is the most important metric, but a business must be able to drill-down and understand the underlying metrics. While COGS is an important metric for financial health, it’s important not evaluate COGS alone. Typically, Accounts would be numbered 4xxx for Revenue Accounts, 5xxx for COGS and 6xxx for Expenses, but there is no rule here. Operating Expenses are then subtracted from Gross Profit to arrive at Net Income. COGS is listed next and is subtracted from Revenue to arrive at Gross Profit. COGS Types Examples: General Contractor Direct COGSĪ business’ Income State (Profit & Loss) starts with Revenue at the top. For example, fuel, is an indirect cost of performing a job or service it would be really difficult to allocate each gallon of fuel to a specific project or job. Indirect COGS still relate to the production of revenue, but cannot be tied to a specific customer, job or project (at least not easily). Any costs coded directly to a job should be included in the Direct COGS Account. This could include labor, subcontractor work, and materials. Direct COGS relate to the actual job or customer project. There are two types of COGS: direct and indirect. Doing this would overstate margin and overstate overhead expenses.ĬOGS tracks how much a business is spending to generate their top line sales Types of COGS This would mean that sales labor and supervisors are in one Payroll expense line item, along with administrative staff. For example, let’s say that a business is putting material costs in COGS but is not splitting out labor that is tied directly to revenue production. This means that their overhead expenses are comingled with COGS. However, many businesses do not separate out COGS at all. ![]() ![]() The Benefits of Using COGSīusiness that use COGS are able to achieve better visibility into their profit margins, allowing them to identify opportunities to increase profitability. The lower COGS, the better, as it indicates a high profit margin on sales or services. For example, a business reselling widgets would count the cost of the widgets as a COGS, whereas a business manufacturing widgets would count raw materials, supplies and labor that go into the widget manufacturing process. COGS differ from overhead expenses in their direct connection to the production of revenue, while overhead expenses are related to the operation of the business as a whole.Īll expenditures essential to producing top line revenue are considered COGS. ![]() COGS are also referred to as the “Cost of Revenue” or “Cost of Sales.” In a nutshell, COGS tracks how much a business is spending to generate their top line sales. ![]() COGS Definition & OverviewĬost of Goods Sold (COGS) are expenditures in the course of business directly related to the production of revenue. So this was a brief but relevant history of Sidon and its relationship to my story was remarkable. Slowly however Sidon again declined until the late 20th century when again it has risen from the ashes to become an important commercial and agricultural centre. The lack of water and resources - added to Turkish invasions - led to lack of interest. However, by the 14th century, and following the downfall of the Templars, Sidon was on the ‘way out’ as a player on the world market. It was a very commercial, and in fact, warlike city, with a powerful navy - something the Templars looked up to and emulated.įrom early on, Sidon was a rendezvous for pirates, and even the slave trade continued after the fall of slavery elsewhere. In 1111 AD the crusader Baldwin, who was later to become King Baldwin of Jerusalem, besieged the city and it was later to become one of the four baronies of the Kingdom of Jerusalem. Under his successors Sidon became known as the ‘holy city of Phoenicia’ and enjoyed relative freedom, with games and competitions attracting people from far and wide. However the place did go on to play host to one of Alexander the Great’s garrisons for a while, which was used to subdue this piratical element for Alexander’s own purposes. Sidon had its own coinage that bore the head of Athena (also Minerva a serpentine, feminine deity linked with healing.) Inverse chatted with Taylor about the inspirations, iconography, and the joys of disorientation in They Cloned Tyrone. The writer-director is cautiously optimistic - but with its ironclad premise, unshakeable cast, and stunning production design, the Netflix film might already be a classic. But Tyrone must first resonate with its audiences, and (hopefully) inspire a Halloween costume or two. As for what he envisions next, Taylor isn’t averse to sequels. The film may have started out as a hypothetical, but it’s quickly taking on a life of its own. “The more I said it as just the joke title, the more people gravitated towards that,” Taylor explains. The epithet was also more popular with Taylor’s friends. As Taylor and his writing partner, Tony Rettenmaier, developed the story further, They Cloned Tyrone felt more like a natural fit. But it glossed over another side of his story: the coded humor that invoked films like Shaft and Friday. It certainly encapsulated the Matrix-like paranoia and haunting themes that Taylor wanted to explore in the film. “We were going to call it Reagan Era,” Taylors tells Inverse.
